Why Choose Us

A VOICE FOR THOSE WITHOUT WORDS

Not everyone is a writer. It takes more than language fluency to deliver accurate written language translation. There is grammar, syntax, punctuation and style to be considered and used correctly between languages. All translations must passed a quality control process through a second set of eyes.

Our interpreters adhere to the core values of the Profession Code of Ethics | Accuracy; Confidentiality; Cultural Competence; Impartiality; Professional Conduct; Respect for all parties.

Our interpreters are qualified and tested. We look for interpreters that have completed a minimum of 64-hour interpreter training. Or have been certified through the national certification bodies for medical interpreters in their respective languages.

To maintain their competence, our interpreters must complete required Continuing Education units on a yearly basis.

If you need an interpreter for a rare, or difficult to locate language— please be sure and contact us first. There is a good probability that we can resolve the communication barrier.

The Core Medical Interpreter Training Program™ designed by the National Institute for Coordinated Healthcare prepares the students to be competent and professional as a medical interpreter. The CMIT complies with the first pre-requisites for taking the national certification exams offered through CCHI, or the National Board for Certified Interpreters.

Linguistics Global Associates provides the NICHC-Core Medical Interpreter Training™ locally and for requested locations. The 64-hour Medical Interpreter Training has been approved by the Oregon Health Authority | Office of Equity and Inclusion.

Continuing education courses are available for interpreters needing to renew their qualification.
