Founded in 2010, Linguistics Global Associates was established to provide specialized language services for Workers’ Compensation injured workers — a population often underserved due to language barriers. Over the years, the agency has grown into a comprehensive language services provider, offering expert support across the healthcare industry, legal services, education, and medical interpreter training.

At the heart of Linguistics Global Associates is a commitment to bridging the communication gap for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals — giving voice to those who might otherwise go unheard. Every interpretation is delivered with precision and integrity, preserving the full and accurate meaning of each speaker’s words without addition or alteration.

The agency also offers certified document translation by expert linguists dedicated to conveying the “true sense of the words” text across languages. Whether the need is in-person interpretation, over-the-phone interpreting (OPI), or certified written translation, Linguistics Global Associates brings the same standard of excellence to every engagement — regardless of scope or complexity.

Pedro Johnson

Pedro Johnson has dedicated more than three decades to bridging language gaps for Limited English Proficient communities across a wide range of professional settings. Since beginning his Spanish interpretation career in 1992, Pedro has developed deep expertise across healthcare, legal, education, independent medical examinations, and Workers’ Compensation administrative hearings.

A licensed instructor through the National Institute for Coordinated Health Care, Pedro is authorized to teach its proprietary Core Medical Interpreter Training® (CMIT®) program.

He has been recognized as an Oregon-approved medical interpreter educator since 2014. His credentials reflect a commitment to the highest standards in the profession — he holds the CHI™ Certified Healthcare Interpreter™ designation in Spanish, and is certified as both a Medical Spanish Interpreter and a Social Services Spanish Interpreter by the state of Washington.

Beyond language services, Pedro brings a curious and tech-minded spirit to everything he does. A Linux OS enthusiast and self-described cybersecurity devotee, he completed the University of Oregon Cybersecurity Boot Camp in 2022 — a pursuit that speaks to his belief in lifelong learning and staying sharp in an ever-evolving digital world.

Outside of work, Pedro finds balance in the outdoors — hiking, camping, and exploring the mountains, forests, and coastlines of the Pacific Northwest. He also has a lifelong passion for dancing.
